The Nintendo Switch offers three distinct elements that make it different to any other home entertainment console.  The console itself acts as the first element.  This can easily be hooked up to your television and used like a Wii or PlayStation.  You can also attach your console to the second element, its docking station.  This console can also be used like a tablet anywhere you want, although you will need to charge the device periodically. 

The third element is the new Joy-Con controller.  This controller isn’t like anything gamers have come across before.  While the direction pad and buttons are familiar, the way the Joy-Con attaches to the side of the Switch console is new.  By attaching the Joy-Con, users can easily turn their mobile console into an incredibly powerful gaming tablet.  The Joy-Con is also adapted for wireless control and motion capture.  This helps to create the most impressive tactile feedback currently on offer. 

As we mentioned above, there are to main ways to use the console, either in TV mode with the Switch attached via an HDMI cable to any TV.  Or you can use it in handheld mode with your Joy-Cons attached on either side of the console.
