A man called Jack Cohen opened Tesco in 1919. Initially, Tesco was selling excess groceries from after the war at a stall in Hackney. And after a decade, a store was launched in Middlesex.
Tesco expanded through the years and this increased exceedingly in the 1980’s and 1990’s. From 2000 onwards, Tesco has continued to branch out and become the UK’s foremost food produce retailer as well as in Ireland, Hungary, Thailand and Malaysia and many more.
